The Great War Project 1914 - 1918
Research has begun into the service records of former district men and women who enlisted during World War I, some of whom are honoured on the various memorials and rolls throughout the shire. Help is sort from descendants or relatives of soldiers, sailors, nurses or munitions workers in sharing life stories, photographs, or war time memorabilia to contribute to the building of biographies of these war time volunteers, so that future generations will truly understand the meaning of the term ANZAC.
