Projects & Activities
From time to time, Blayney Shire Local & Family History Group carries out in depth research either due to a request, or to further understand the stories that make up the Blayney Shire's collective history. It has contributed to studies organised by the Sustainable Collections project of Blayney, Cabonne & Orange councils, notably on Wiradjuri aboriginal history and Chinese immigration. Other projects of its own instigation have been the restoration of the Boer War Memorial in Blayney and a history of Blayney lime kilns. research has also been undertaken for Blayney Fire and Rescue and the WWI Bridge project of Blayney Shire Council.
