The Blayney Shire Local & Family History Group was formed in 1992.
It promotes the collection and preservation of information, records, memories and material relating to the Blayney area, as well as researching the family stories of its citizens.
Members value both local and family history as well as the wider events that have impacted on the district over time. It affirms the unique nature of all people's stories who have made their home in the district before and since European settlement.
